About the Role:
As the Agile Team Enablement Coach at Abnormal, you will be a cornerstone in ensuring that our R&D team can deliver a consistent and holistic product experience to our customers. In our hybrid and distributed work environment, your role will be to embed and champion agile practices across our Product Divisions and Standing Teams, facilitating a streamlined delivery motion that amplifies the impact of our Multi-Product Platform. By fostering agile methodologies and leveraging tools like Jira, you will enable our teams to provide weekly updates on product enhancements, effectively communicate our roadmap, and keep our customers informed about the evolving threat landscape and how Abnormal is responding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Practices Implementation: Champion the adoption of agile methodologies across R&D teams, including facilitating standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement processes.
- Agile Process definition: Intentional definition of a few intentionally chosen lightweight processes that are encouraged for the Teams within Abnormal.
- Tool Utilization and Process Consistency: Promote the consistent use of Jira and other agile tools across teams to capture and track progress, ensuring a unified approach to documenting customer impact.
- Roadmap and Release Process Management: Guide teams in the development and communication of product roadmaps and release processes, ensuring clear and consistent customer-facing content.
- Weekly Update Coordination: Facilitate the weekly high-cadence process of sharing updates on new threats, achievements, and product enhancements, reinforcing the message that "Abnormal is improving on a weekly basis for you."
- Team Enablement and Support: Provide ongoing support and coaching to teams, helping them to adopt and adapt agile processes that enhance productivity and collaboration.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training sessions on agile practices and tools, tailored to the specific needs of Product Divisions and Standing Teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Product Division leaders and R&D management to aggregate and organize process outcomes, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or similar role in a software development or technology-focused environment. Understanding of some agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
- Proficiency in using Jira or similar project management tools to drive and track agile processes.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and training skills, with a passion for promoting agile culture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence teams across a distributed work environment.
- Experience in managing product roadmaps and release processes in a fast-paced, technology-driven company.
