Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • One to two years of related financial services industry experience is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite tools, particularly Microsoft Outlook, is required.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63/65 or Series 66 licenses are required, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Additional licensure may be required with manager approval based on specific job accountabilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, or Economics is listed as a critical qualification.
  • Three to five years of brokerage industry experience, particularly with account transfers, is listed as a critical qualification.
Responsibilities
  • Answer member, field, and incoming phone calls and make outbound calls as required.
  • Process new account documents, maintenance requests, transfers, distributions, and non-routine or complex service transactions, including not-in-good-order items.
  • Perform service-related activities quickly, accurately, cost-effectively, and in compliance with internal service standards and state and federal regulatory standards.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures and quality assessments.
  • Provide services as part of a brokerage operations functional team, including assisting team members, managing workflow, flexing for functional coverage, and collaborating with other service teams.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of brokerage operations products, services, affiliated systems, NFS and Thrivent systems, and applicable operational policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with field professionals, the clearing firm, and internal business units.
  • Analyze and approve transactions and provide high-quality, timely service that supports member and field satisfaction and meets established service-level timeframes.
  • Provide detailed, accurate, and timely communications so field professionals and clients understand the operational status of accounts.
  • Achieve or exceed department quality standards.
