Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of loan administrative experience in commercial real estate loans is required.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to learn new technology, adapt to change, demonstrate initiative, and commit to continuous learning is required.
  • Professional speech, demeanor, and dress are required.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality is required.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required.
  • The employee must be able to operate routine office equipment, including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
  • The employee must be able to work extended hours or travel off site when required or requested by management.
  • The employee must maintain regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • The employee must be capable of climbing and descending stairs in an emergency situation.
  • The employee must have close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects and parts, and operating or inspecting machines or measurement devices at close distances.
  • The employee must live within 30 minutes of the bank's location.
Responsibilities
  • Represent the Bank in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Obtain credit reports and process credit denials according to regulations.
  • Take loan applications, obtain credit reports, and process credit denials according to regulations.
  • Type memos, letters, and reports.
  • Greet customers and assist them with routine problems.
  • Accept loan payments and deposits.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and mail.
  • Obtain necessary documents and legal papers for loans.
  • Call and write letters to past-due customers.
  • Produce loan documents and renewal loans accurately and timely.
  • Service loans, including processing payments, preparing payoff quotes, and forwarding information to lenders or clients.
  • Maintain knowledge of banking products and services to cross-sell to customers.
  • Image documents into an electronic filing system.
  • Work exception reports.
  • Set up meetings, conferences, and conference calls.
  • Proactively monitor schedules to identify and resolve conflicts and inefficiencies.
  • Comply with privacy policies and procedures to maintain customer confidentiality and protect information.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Complete and pass assigned regulatory compliance training.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks assigned by management.
  • Operate a computer for an average of 6–8 hours per day when necessary.
