Responsibilities
  • Setting up cost control systems, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system.
  • Preparing budgets for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports and communicate recommendations to management in a clear, organized summary.
  • Working with the program team to integrate project cost with scheduled activity.
  • Providing monthly / quarterly reporting and analysis to support business processes.
  • Assist in planning and forecasting program financial performance. Prepare future strategic plans.
  • Serving as a resource to management in understanding results by reporting and investigating variances.
  • Analyzing business processes and making recommendations to improve process efficiency and support continuous improvement.
  • Identifying potential profit impacts to programs, and making recommendations for mitigation and improving profit margin.
  • Preparing and tracking key performance metrics to direct management.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior team participation experience (professional/community/extracurricular).
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.
  • Aerospace and/or DoD intern/working experience.
  • Knowledge of Earned value management systems (EVMS).
  • Experience executing programs with contractual EVMS requirements.
  • Prior Experience with Deltek financial applications (CostPoint, Cobra, OpenPlan, PM Compass).
