This unique collaboration makes SAC's specialized ENT billing, coding, and compliance expertise available exclusively to Audigy members, further enhancing the value of Audigy membership. Meet the Expert: JoAnna Ahn

Meet the expert: JoAnna Ahn. * March 4, 2026 Whether she's walking a practice owner through a major expansion decision, helping align budgets with long-term goals, or translating complex financial data into clear next steps, JoAnna Ahn brings confidence, clarity, and calm to every conversation. As Finance Manager for Audigy's Market Influencer West territory, JoAnna supports members not just by reviewing numbers but by helping them understand what those numbers mean for their future. JoAnna's work lives at the intersection of strategy and trust. As the Q1 2025 winner of Audigy's Anthony Positive Thinking Award, she is someone who helps owners feel grounded when decisions feel big and empowered when the path forward feels uncertain. As one colleague shares, "JoAnna is a true professional whose positivity shines through in every interaction, with both colleagues and members alike. Her uplifting spirit is contagious, inspiring those around her and creating a more joyful, supportive work environment." If there's one thing JoAnna has always been drawn to, it's the business side of things. From her early career in engineering to her eventual transition into finance, she has consistently gravitated toward the bigger picture: how businesses operate, grow, and thrive. Today she gets to bring that passion to life every day by helping Audigy members make smart, confident decisions that move their practices forward. Her role at Audigy. JoAnna was hired as a Finance Manager within Audigy's Strategic Business Unit, initially supporting Practice Developer West members. In late 2025, she transitioned into her current role supporting the Market Influencer West territory, while continuing to help wherever she can across the organization. Most days begin with a check-in alongside her teammates, ensuring alignment before jumping into member calls. From there, JoAnna is either meeting directly with owners or preparing for conversations that will shape critical decisions. "On paper the job is about financial reporting and analysis," JoAnna shares. "You'd think I'm at my computer with a calculator all day, but I've found it to be much more relationship-driven." The real work isn't just spreadsheets. It's helping owners think through hiring, compensation, pricing, expansion, equipment investments, or navigating a tough season with clarity and confidence. As one colleague puts it, "JoAnna consistently goes above and beyond, not only in her professional role but also in her positive impact on our team and members." A day in the life. JoAnna's day-to-day work is centered around helping members see their financial story clearly and act on it wisely. No two conversations are exactly the same because no two practices are exactly the same. But her rhythm is built around strategic partnership and practical guidance. On any given day, you might find JoAnna: - Reviewing financial performance and profitability trends - Helping owners interpret cash flow and expense drivers - Supporting strategic planning and annual budget development - Advising on pricing, hiring, or investment decisions - Partnering with internal teams when financial insight is needed - Guiding members through complex legacy transition conversations JoAnna describes her work simply but powerfully: "Financials tell a story. My job is to help them see the story clearly." That clarity is what gives members confidence. And confidence is what allows practices to grow. Supporting Audigy members. JoAnna helps owners understand what their numbers are truly telling them. Together they look at revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and overall financial health. The goal is never just reviewing results, it's understanding what is driving them and what adjustments will help owners move closer to their goals. JoAnna works closely with her territory team to support members progressing along the Owner Maturity Model, building strategic plans, aligning budgets with priorities, and helping practices make decisions that serve both the business and the life behind it. If a member is planning to expand, hire, take out a loan, or adjust pricing, JoAnna is there to walk through the financial side of those decisions with steadiness and care. She is especially proud of her work supporting legacy transitions, where an owner is able to transition ownership to a successor within their practice. "These transitions can be complex and emotional," JoAnna says. "Helping an owner step away knowing their practice is in good hands is incredibly rewarding." As one colleague notes, "JoAnna remains solution-oriented and focused on achieving results." Clear numbers lead to better choices - and better choices lead to stronger futures. A true partner. JoAnna wants members to know that she is their partner. Financial decisions can feel overwhelming, especially when the stakes are high. JoAnna's strength is making the numbers practical, actionable, and grounded in real business strategy. Her colleagues see that gift clearly. "JoAnna has been a constant source of guidance and encouragement," one teammate shares. "Her willingness to help with incentive plans and patiently walk me through complex finance questions speaks volumes about her commitment to ensuring others succeed." Another adds, "JoAnna takes the time to explain intricate financial concepts in a way that's easy to understand, always with a calm, positive demeanor." That calm is part of what makes her impact so powerful. JoAnna doesn't just solve problems, she helps people feel capable while solving them. "She is effective and always ready to dig down to solve issues and problems as they arise." That's JoAnna in a nutshell: steady, business-minded, and always ready to get down to what matters. Personal & professional growth. JoAnna credits Audigy with helping her grow beyond the traditional finance box. "Working at Audigy has allowed me to learn more about myself and what I am capable of," she shares. "I have been stretched to think out of the stereotypical finance 'box'... and grow as a finance business partner." Audigy has also supported her in creating meaningful life memories outside of work; including a trip to Hawaii with extended family and a long-awaited girls trip with friends. That balance of growth, trust, and collaboration is part of what she values most about Audigy. "I am fortunate to work with incredibly intelligent and talented individuals," JoAnna shares. "Seeing members achieve milestones is very rewarding." Life Outside of work. Outside of work, JoAnna's happy place is simple: time with family. Whether it's going to a movie, relaxing at home, or traveling together, she finds joy in shared experiences. Her family loves Hawaii, cruising, and exploring new places across the U.S. and Europe, with hopes of planning an extended trip to Asia someday. She also enjoys art, architecture, and live performances: concerts, ballet, musicals, and more. She is passionate about supporting the arts. While many members know her as a steady financial guide, there is one surprising detail from her past life: JoAnna is a co-inventor on a patent from her former career as an engineer! A passion for business. JoAnna's career journey began in engineering, drawn by her love of math and science. But even then, she found herself captivated by the business questions underneath the work. "How much would it cost to scale production?" she recalls. "How do we account for R&D costs on the balance sheet?" That curiosity led her to pursue an MBA in finance and operations, launching the career she has today. After receiving her MBA, JoAnna worked in corporate finance in areas such as pricing, strategic planning, cash flow, and operating expense management. She later leveraged those skills into business ownership when her family owned a small manufacturing company in Northern California, an experience that further rounded out her perspective. That firsthand ownership experience has helped her connect deeply with private-practice owners and approach conversations with empathy for the day-to-day challenges that numbers alone don't fully capture. That through-line has always been there: a love of business, strategy, and helping organizations run smarter. Audigy allows her to bring all of those experiences together - corporate finance, business ownership, and strategic partnership - in service of helping members build stronger, more sustainable practices. In Audigy she has found the perfect place to bring it all together. Looking ahead. JoAnna Ahn brings more than financial expertise to Audigy members. She brings steadiness. Positivity. Business-minded strategy. And the kind of partnership that makes practice owners feel confident in every next step. As one colleague shares, "JoAnna's leadership is rooted in a belief that success is achieved through collaboration, positive thinking, and consistent effort." When owners understand their numbers, align their strategy, and feel supported through the hard decisions, they can move forward with clarity. JoAnna makes sure Members know she is right there beside them - ready to dig in, get down to business, and help them build what comes next.
