Position Summary
At Mediahub, Insights & Action is our strategic muscle and a key differentiator. Our litmus test is that it’s not an insight unless it changes the trajectory of the campaign and if it’s not media actionable, it’s not an insight. The Planners thrive on exploring changing consumer behavior, cultural trends, and competitive insights to discover new and innovative solutions. The Director, Insights & Action will lead roster of clients across major categories while also supporting projects and new business efforts. The candidate in this role must thrive on exploring changing consumer behavior, cultural trends, and competitive insights to discover new innovative solutions. In this position, you will participate in new business development as opportunities arise.
Responsibilities
- High level ability to define client brands and business problems in the context of the communications challenges Mediahub can solve.
- Leads with Identifying the right tools to investigate the challenge, from internal resources to syndicated tools, to proprietary research and partner data.
- Writes clear, well thought-out, and intriguing questions that will lead to fresh and disruptive insights.
- Synthesizes multiple forms of data into innovative and actionable communication strategies and go-to-market ideas.
- Senior-level ability to communicate ideas in ways that guide and inspire both internally and to clients.
- Creates consumers journeys and brings target audiences to life by analyzing multiple data sources, including primary, syndicated, and third-party research.
- Seamlessly collaborates with teams across disciplines, building upon and uniting work under a holistic communications plan.
- Participates collaboratively in new business development as opportunities arise.
- Provides leadership and education to a team of strategists to help motivate them to learn and grow.
- Designs, fields, and analyzes primary research.
- Travels for business as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-10+ years of experience required; in related field (e.g., media planning, marketing, consumer research, strategy, etc.)
- Minimum of 2 years of agency experience required. New business experience preferred.
- Experience with social listening and affinity-based tools, including CrimsonHexagon, Brandwatch, Helixa, Affinio.
- High level of understanding of all channels and disciplines with the ability to develop ideas and strategies across all consumer touchpoints.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.), Keynote, familiar with most major syndicated tools, both strategic planning and consumer insight, e.g., GfK, MRI, Mintel, WARC, Euromonitor, Nielsen, Kantar, Qualtrics and affinity-based tools, including CrimsonHexagon, Brandwatch, Helixa, Affinio.
- Strong written and verbal communication required.
- Strong organizational skills and analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative), ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and close attention to detail, foster direct report growth.

- Education: bachelor’s degree preferred.

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.

Salary Range
$135,000—$180,000 USD
