Chowbus, Inc. in Chicago, IL seeks Business Intelligence Manager. Own Business
Intelligence for various departments and marketplaces, and advance performance by
designing and developing metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards and driving action
through effective communication and cross-functional partnership. Identify areas of
opportunity and conduct deep-dive data analysis that results in high-quality insights and
recommendations. Develop KPI dashboards by understanding requirements, building SQL
queries, crafting visualizations, and providing ongoing support and maintenance. Accountable
for providing leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating information gathering,
structured documentation, and presentation of findings to all levels of management.
Collaborate with data engineers to inform data infrastructure and unlock data needed to
power reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. Lead Business Intelligence team and provide both
business and technical assistance to other team members, and mentor less-experienced
business analysts and interns. Own Chowbus restaurant discount execution, from concepts
to spend estimations to recording and evaluating their performance. Own proper calculation
of restaurant payouts that are then used by the Finance team for execution. Due to a wide
variety of discount and commission structures, this work is tedious, technical, and critical to
the business’s successes in both the short and long term. Share, explain, and increase usage
of data-based findings in Chinese to people throughout the company.

Must possess a Master’s Degree in Information Systems with a concentration in Business
Intelligence or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related role as an
Accounts Payable Analyst. Must also possess work experience or coursework experience
with: (i) Excel Skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Filters, Conditional Formatting, Slicers,
COUNTIF, SUMIF, or IFERROR; (ii) Tableau; (iii) PostgreSQL; (iv) SQL and Database; (v)
Python; (vi) Data Mining; (vii) Regression and Correlation; (viii) Principle Component Analysis
and Classification and Clustering techniques and Customer Relationship Management
(CRM); and (ix) Machine Learning.
