Job Summary:
The Regional Technical Lead (m/f/d) collaborates with the Principle Technical Lead and Technical Management to provide a high level of timely technical support and leadership within their designated area. They ensure that CSA Group services globally are delivered consistently using a combination of training, technical oversight, thorough documentation and effective communication of technical decisions and interpretations.
Your tasks:
- Supports the Product Group Manager (PGM) with team needs such as mentoring, training, and managing complex projects.
- Adheres to metrics for utilization, on-time completion, and turn-around times as established by the Manager in cooperation with the Technical Manager (TM).
- Ensures the completion of Technical Tasks as delegated by the TM/PTL, in agreement with the direct Manager.
- Timeliness, quality, and pragmatism of responses/resolutions and interpretations to technical issues raised by internal and external staff.
- Timeliness and efficacy of communication of industry information from standard meetings/certification scheme activities back to internal stakeholders.
- Timeliness of issuing Technical Requirement Documents (TRDs) announcing publication of new or updated standards along with the provision supporting technical gap analysis as required
Your education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8 years or equivalent of related experience or Engineering Technologist/Technician diploma or Certified Engineering Technologist/Technician, Licensed Trades with 8 years or equivalent industry experience
- Strong knowledge of respective product group Standards and CSA Certification processes (e.g. CSA, UL and IEC standards and variety of test procedures).
- Knowledge of laboratory instruments (including operating principles) understands calibration requirements as well as general laboratory procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral.
- Presentation skills are essential.
- Strong organizational, time, and project management skills.
