Position: Tax Manager (Minneapolis)

Reports to: Director of Tax

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $90,000-110,000 per year depending on qualifications and experience

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Tax Manager manages a book of approximately 200-225 clients, handling tax planning, preparation, and final review. This role includes acting as the final reviewer and signing tax returns, managing complex tax strategies, and mentoring team members while building strong client relationships. This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment. We use a suite of CCH products for our tax preparation software, and Canopy as our practice management tool. Our client base are timely filers and 85% of our returns are filed during the spring busy season.

Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses /certifications or other knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA/EA preferred
• 4+ years of tax experience with supervisory background

• Strong computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Maintains confidentiality of information
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities
• High attention to detail
