Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive ICHRA Payment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage the payment processes for the Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) program, ensuring timely and accurate payments to insurance carriers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance carrier systems, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing ICHRA Payments: Administer and process payments for employees participating in the ICHRA program.
- Eligibility Verification: Review and verify employee eligibility for ICHRA reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees with questions regarding ICHRA payment status.
- Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all payments and related documentation. Generate reports as needed for management and compliance purposes.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all ICHRA payments comply with federal regulations, including IRS guidelines, and company-specific rules.
- System Management: Update and maintain the internal tracking system for ICHRA payments, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement in the payment and reimbursement procedures and work with management to implement solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). Life & Health Insurance License (company paid if not already licensed).
- Experience: Previous experience in healthcare reimbursement, payroll, or accounting roles is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and familiarity with payment processing systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare insurance terminology and billing practices.
