Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • The ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, transport patients, stoop, bend, reach, and perceive visual and auditory attributes as specified is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assess patient acuity in waiting areas, escort patients to exam rooms, complete intake by gathering medical history and obtaining vital signs, and prepare patients and rooms with necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Schedule patients for advanced care with specialty providers, workers compensation follow-ups, and other clinical services as needed.
  • Perform point-of-care testing according to protocol.
  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment and exam rooms.
  • Maintain competency in specimen collection and perform reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing for fit-for-duty purposes while following chain-of-custody protocols for urine, saliva, hair, breath, and blood specimens.
  • Assist nursing staff and providers in delivering patient-centered care.
Desired Qualifications
  • Medical terminology knowledge is a plus.
