Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in a similar role or position in construction.
  • A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in construction, engineering, or architecture is required; four years of additional qualifying experience beyond the minimum may substitute for the education requirement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience using Bluebeam and Adobe software for document reviews and markups.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to effectively manage daily work effort.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and administrative support for the Program Management Office Construction Department.
  • Perform internal reviews of Change Orders, Field Orders, and other contractual documents for districtwide design and construction projects.
  • Coordinate with Program Management Office staff and College Project Teams on the review and processing of Change Orders for all active construction projects.
  • Perform detailed reviews of Change Order documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in coordination meetings to facilitate timely reviews.
  • Maintain Change Order logs and other tracking documents for Program Management Office use and reference.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
  • Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management review.
  • Collect, track, review, and submit lessons learned for project closeouts and management review.
  • Monitor changes and revisions to ensure timely processing of Change Orders and Field Orders.
  • Submit Change Orders and Field Orders for final Program Management Office and district approvals.
  • Review and follow standard operating procedures for Change Order processing.
  • Facilitate resolution of conflicts and issues to maintain timely workflow.
  • Assist in coordination meetings with field College Project Teams.
  • Generate and distribute meeting minutes to confirm discussions.
  • Maintain electronic files and records for all reviews.
  • Maintain a log of daily tasks and submit it monthly to management for review.
  • Perform other job-related and similar administrative duties as directed by the Program Management Office.

  • Previous experience with Change Orders and supporting documentation.
  • Previous experience with educational projects.
  • Experience working on a large client program.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Prolog, Trimble Unity Construct, formerly e-Builder, Proliance, or other project management information system platforms.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Sign, formerly Adobe E-Sign.
