Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Computer related curriculum and 3-7 years of hands on network experience installing/configuring network devices.
  • Candidates without a degree will be required to have an additional 5 years of relevant experience for consideration.
  • Certifications: Cisco Professional Certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP).
  • Solid background in network administration and configuration (switches/routers).
  • Understanding of network operating systems (e.g. Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-IOS).
  • Understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF).
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g. LogicMonitor).
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices and methodologies.
  • Understanding of project delivery within an Agile framework.
  • An understanding of the strategic impacts of enterprise initiatives, the supporting IT systems and architecture.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction or oversight.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
  • Install and configure networking hardware (Cisco and Palo Alto).
  • Provision and manage Internet circuits (DIA/Broadband) for field offices.
  • Design and coordinate implementation of the cable plant for field offices.
  • Travel to field office for network implementation.
  • Process network maintenance renewals.
  • Manage network support issues within ticketing system.
  • Have knowledge of new IT Infrastructure technologies, processes, methodologies and best practices.
  • Manage infrastructure projects, including gathering requirements, design, build, implementation and project management.
  • Perform post-implementation follow-ups to ensure infrastructure stability.
