- Support production applications in a 24x7/always-on environment, including on-call rotation support
- Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis across application, operating system, and infrastructure layers to drive complex incidents to resolution
- Monitor, alert, and observe metrics, logs, and traces; define SLIs/SLOs and tune alerts to reduce noise
- Engage in problem management including post-incident reviews, corrective/preventive actions, and tracking issues to closure
- Involve release and change management activities including production readiness reviews, deployment validation, rollback planning, and change controls/programmable PTO
- Manage capacity and performance; identify bottlenecks, forecast demand, and recommend scaling improvements
- Partner with development, QA, operations, and infrastructure teams; communicate with stakeholders clearly
- Create runbooks, operating procedures, architectural diagrams, and design specifications
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
- Prior experience with mainframe environments could be considered desirable but not explicitly required beyond listed skills
