Requirements
  • A Sr. Staff DevOps Engineer will typically have > 15 years of experience as a professional software developer and/or experience as DevOps Engineer
  • Working knowledge of Secure SDLC processes
  • Expert knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes) platforms and Docker/CRI-O
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages and ability to write Python or similar
  • Working experience with configuration management tools ( e.g. Ansible/Puppet/Chef/DSC)
  • Strong experience with IaaS and PaaS technologies in general. (AWS & GCP)
  • Strong commitment to standardization and documentation
  • A proven background in software delivery automation
  • CI/CD Pipeline Automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Circle CI, etc
  • Experience of Java or .NET development and architecture patterns
  • Clear understanding of 3 tier/layer application architecture using modern cloud platforms
  • Experience of software-at-scale in the cloud. Google Cloud Platform preferred
  • Experience of Asset Repositories e.g. Nexus/Artifactory
  • Experience with Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing
  • Exposure to a flavor of Git, including common branching strategies, Software Composition Analysis
  • Preferred experience of large-scale web and data systems
Responsibilities
  • A Sr. Staff DevOps Engineer will have all the skills, knowledge, and dimension progression of a Staff Software Engineer and will be contributing at a higher level
  • May serve as a Tech Lead for a product. Contributes to product area roadmap, helps determine feasibility
  • Respected as a technical leader, provides mentorship to many others across team boundaries
  • A Sr. Staff DevOps Engineer can work independently while providing mentorship and guidance to the company in multiple areas of technology. They may operate as a Tech Lead, providing architectural guidance and technical leadership for an entire Product area and to the broader Company
  • A Sr. Staff DevOps Engineer will have all the skills, knowledge, and dimension progression of a Staff DevOps Engineer and will be contributing at a higher level
  • A Sr. Staff DevOps Engineer will typically have > 15 years of experience as a professional DevOps engineer or software developer
  • Champions new ways of developing software and brings them into the organization
  • A 10x engineer in terms of getting stuff done - architecture, design, coding
  • Makes an impact across the Company in one or more dimensions: business or technology
  • Sets the bar in all forms of communication and collaboration
  • Contribute significant software architecture, strategy, design and code to the current (or future) version (or multiple concurrently developed versions) of a component, subsystem, system, application, or underlying technologies
  • Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or to integrate their software into the company's products
  • Evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's software systems and applications
