Requirements
  • A medical degree from an accredited school.
  • Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association-approved postgraduate training program in Internal Medicine.
  • Successful completion of the requirements of the American Board of Internal Medicine for certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
  • Board certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in Internal Medicine and any area of subspecialty.
  • An unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • Appropriate continuing medical education credits per Washington State and Olympic Medical Center Medical Staff requirements.
  • Appropriate privileges and membership on the Olympic Medical Center Medical Staff.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation and care to adult patients presenting with inpatient-level medical problems.
  • Provide person-centered care to rural patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Work a 7-on, 7-off schedule, with occasional different hours as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of practice in hospital medicine is preferred.
