Requirements
  • An Air Transport Pilot Licence with a current Gulfstream G500 type rating is required.
  • A minimum of 4,000 total flight hours is required.
  • A minimum of 1,000 Pilot-in-Command hours is required.
  • A minimum of 2,000 jet hours is required.
  • A minimum of 2,000 multi-engine hours is required.
  • Corporate aviation Gulfstream G500 line training and checking experience is essential.
  • Corporate or business aviation experience is required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform Commander and Lead Commander duties in accordance with the Operations Manual.
  • Liaise with passengers or the aircraft owner when an aircraft defect or other operational issue may affect the aircraft schedule.
  • Be responsible for the aircraft in accordance with the ExecuJet Middle East Operations Manual, including operations, flight duty periods, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure that the aircraft is operated in accordance with the ExecuJet Middle East Procedures Operations Manual and applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Remain familiar with the company Operations Manual, company operational instructions and circulars, and the civil aviation regulations applicable to the aircraft registry, and operate accordingly.
  • Make all decisions onboard the aircraft and ensure that aircraft paperwork is in order and the aircraft is airworthy before departure.
  • Create a safe and professional onboard environment, with emphasis on good crew resource management.
  • Ensure that passengers’ travel documents are correct before departure.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for passengers and ensure that they adhere to flight attendant instructions.
  • When operating with an in-flight service provider, ensure that all briefings and cabin security checks are conducted by the commander or assigned to the copilot.
  • Brief passengers on journey time, en-route weather, possible delays, and other pertinent information.
  • Ensure that the crew are presentable and do not damage the reputation or image of ExecuJet Middle East.
  • Report abnormalities, events, incidents, and accidents through the correct channels.
  • Actively promote and support a just management culture.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to the business.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet company business objectives.

  • Professionalism, flexibility, teamwork, ability to work without supervision, ability to work under pressure, and a proactive approach are desired.
