Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field
  • 4+ years of professional work experience in product/av operations, management consulting, rideshare, mobility sectors
  • 2+ years of experience directly managing teams
  • Ability to handle dynamic assignments, including flexible schedules
  • Ability to keep calm and perform well under pressure
  • Comfort with ambiguity; bias to action
  • Ability to connect with people of all backgrounds and offer immediate, fair, and honest feedback when needed

Responsibilities
  • Launch and rapidly scale our first driverless paid service in Houston
  • Establish and drive the highest standards for driverless operations to ensure safe operations for riders and operations personnel alike
  • Strategically plan and complete staffing, facility and hours of service expansion in a fast paced scaling environment
  • Directly manage a team of Commercial Operations Managers, Field Service Coordinators, Field Service Representatives, Operations Coordinators, and Pit Crew members
  • Coordinate with Non-Commercial/R&D AV Operations and Program Managers to use shared resources and infrastructure where needed
  • Provide key feedback and high-visibility updates to counterparts and Cruise senior leadership as needed on key issues and information
  • Drive continuous improvement through experimentation and process optimization in service of safely increasing throughput, utilization and monetization of on-road mileage
  • Serve as a key partner in hiring, managing, developing, reviewing and terminating personnel
Desired Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree in an Engineering-related field
  • Experience leading safety critical operations in technology or automotive industries
  • Experience managing and deploying key assets
