Structural Designer

Ernest is currently in search of a Structural Designer for our division located in Commerce, CA. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive base salary, benefits, and a wonderful company culture.

Responsibilities:

·Discuss design projects with Sales Representatives and be able to select the appropriate designs needed and draw designs in ArtiosCad.

·Work both independently and as part of a team with a helpful and cooperative attitude and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

·Make samples on CAD table.

·Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

·Meet time schedules on projects

·Make production specifications from the prototype.

·Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

·Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements:

·Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a package design

·Ability to conceptualize packaging design from beginning to end.

·Strong knowledge in various packaging types, materials & production methods

·Possess the ability to drive projects to completion in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

·Extensive design experience in retail POP displays, industrial packaging and folding cartons.

·Proficient with ArtiosCad (including parametric designs), ArtiosCad 3D, and DataCenter Admin.

·Experience in display and/or retail-ready packaging design/development.

·Experience in Cad Table operations, maintenance, and technical support with ESKO (i.e. Kongsberg/Data Tech tables).

·Proficient with Cape palletization software, and strength analysis.

·Good communicator with customers and sales staff.

·College education or heavy college coursework in the field of computers, CAD, and drafting, or applicable work experience.

·Exceptional MS Office skills (specifically Word & PowerPoint).
