Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in general accounting.
  • Multiple facility/location reporting experience.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Long-term healthcare experience, or related healthcare.
  • Experience working with Sage/Intacct software.
Responsibilities
  • Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
  • Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintains the general ledger.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reporting packages for assigned portfolio of facilities.
  • Prepare multiple, detailed financial variance analyses and communicate recommendations to operations team for financial improvement.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and packages for Senior Management.
  • Reconcile balance sheets, including bank statements and fixed asset schedules.
  • Verified payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate GL accounts.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform the annual audit.
  • Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
  • Monitor key performance indicators by facility and area groups.
  • Communicate timely and collaborate effectively with all levels of operations team, supporting the partnership model of the corporation.
  • Assist the Director of Accounting and SVP of Finance with ad hoc projects, including but not limited to Annual Budgets, ROIs, Proformas, etc.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable processing as needed.
  • Assist with Payroll processing as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
