Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages activities of one or more large projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes
• Projects can have corporate-wide impact with major financial or operational impact
• Develops business plans, objectives and initiatives for the organization
• Accomplishes results through matrixed and/or cross-functional teams consisting primarily of high-level professionals, line managers, other project managers, and/or vendors who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments
• Provides leadership in determining organizational objectives and policies and ensuring delivery of results
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new projects
• Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results
• Interacts regularly with senior management
• Acts as a key consultant to senior management
• Leads the process with other stakeholders to establish project objectives 
• Approves tasks and schedule necessary for successful project execution 
• Establishes project objectives, manages timelines, risk analysis, milestones, deliverables and budgets
• Resolves issues and ensures task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members and functional managers
• Escalates highly complex issues to senior management for resolution
• Uses influence and negotiation to convince internal or external contacts to accept proposals and projects where there may be resistance to cooperate or participate

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor Degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Previous experience in building construction, specifically in pre-engineered metal building experience is a plus
• Typically possesses ten or more years of project management experience.
• Project Management certification is strongly preferred.
• Utility experience
• Communication skills 
• PMP certification preferred
• Knowledge with MS Office Suite 
• Preferred advanced knowledge with Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc)
