Responsibilities

Pattern Data runs a software-as-a-service platform for law firms, especially those handling mass torts, to streamline the litigation process. The platform automates repetitive tasks like sifting through medical records, performs fast full-case reviews, predicts case quality, and analyzes settlements, while digitizing and organizing client data into executive reports for decision-making. It differentiates itself by targeting mass-tort workflows and combining document-heavy automation with strategic analytics to boost speed, accuracy, and firm profitability. Its goal is to help law firms reduce backlog, improve efficiency, and increase profitability through a trusted AI-assisted workflow.

What believers are saying

  • Pattern's site updated July 29, 2026, and lists active litigations across many MDLs.
  • A 2026 testimonial from Beasley Allen highlights adoption in JUUL, Paraquat, 3M, and Camp Lejeune.
  • MTMP Spring 2026 coverage shows continued demand for AI-driven mass tort evaluation workflows.

What critics are saying

  • PitchBook still shows only $1.15 million raised since the 2022 seed round.
  • Pattern relies on plaintiff-firm workflows, so one major platform loss would crater revenue.
  • Competitors like Relativity and Epiq already own adjacent legal review and settlement markets.

What makes Pattern Data unique

  • Pattern Data specializes in mass tort workflow, including PFAS, Roundup, and Zantac.
  • Its lens-based platform spans intake, evidence development, and settlement allocation for one litigation.
  • Pattern claims same-day document processing and 7 to 10x better review throughput.
