Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • At least one year of experience in court reporting.
  • Must hold the National Court Reporters Association Registered Professional Reporter (NCRA RPR) or equivalent certification (state certification or other licensure) and provide credentials within one week upon request.
Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate, timely, appropriately bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses using adequate equipment.
  • Be punctual and present at relevant proceedings; demonstrate a professional demeanor; provide all necessary equipment and materials to perform duties and accomplish deliverables.
  • Read portions of the transcript in English during proceedings at the request of the board or presiding body and clarify inaudible statements as needed.
  • Administer oaths when required; ensure depositions are transcribed by a duly authorized notary.
  • Accommodate client turnaround requests; ensure work products are thorough, accurate, and compliant with established criteria.
  • Support requirements for Assist program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience, and provide court reporting services to the Westeran States Network Consortium.
  • Travel may be required on an occasional basis to attend meetings, events, site visits, or training, with travel coordinated and approved in advance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Administrative Investigation Board processes, Equal Opportunity Hearings, Human Resources Management Merit Systems Protection Board hearings, or arbitration hearings is preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate credentials and security clearance as required by the client.
