Hudson Regional Health is the region’s largest health system in Hudson County, operating four hospitals and about 70 sites. Its services are delivered through a network of hospitals, clinics, and outpatient centers where patients receive emergency care, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, labs, primary and specialty care, and other medical treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings. The network design lets patients access many kinds of care within one system and across multiple locations. It differentiates itself by its scale and rapid growth in New Jersey, making it the largest and fastest-growing health network in the area with a broad footprint and public updates about services and patient information. The goal is to improve regional health by expanding access to high-quality care, coordinating services across sites, and growing the system to meet community needs.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • $67 million DIP financing kept Christ, Hoboken, and Bayonne hospitals operating in 2024-2025.
  • The confirmed plan stabilized operations and preserved patient care through the restructuring.
  • Yan Moshe and Dr. Nizar Kifaieh now lead a reorganized Hudson County system.

What critics are saying

  • Hudson Regional closed Heights University Hospital ER in March 2026 after losses reached $30 million.
  • Bayonne University Hospital received 967 WARN notices in April 2026 during ownership transfer.
  • The remaining estate depends on litigation recoveries; weak claims cripple creditor payouts.

What makes CarePoint Health unique

  • Hudson County’s only three-hospital legacy network once anchored CarePoint’s local referral power.
  • CarePoint’s Chapter 11 plan transferred hospitals to Hudson Regional Health in May 2025.
  • Its bankruptcy estate still monetizes lawsuits and D&O claims for unsecured creditors.
