About this Job
Eridan is seeking a dynamic and accomplished VP of Hardware Engineering to lead our hardware engineering team. This individual will be a key player in driving the development and deployment of Eridan’s cutting-edge 5G radio units (RUs) and transceiver modules into the telecom market. Eridan’s technological advantage is the creation of a switch-mode direct polar transmitter built in Gallium Nitride (GaN).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building advanced small cell RF telecommunications hardware products, backed up by deep RF skills, systems engineering expertise, and comprehensive understanding of RF circuits and devices. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on both technology development and commercial product success.
As our VP of Hardware Engineering, you will:
- Provide leadership for the hardware development team, overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle.
- Develop and lead a high-performance hardware engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on drive the development of 5G RUs and subsystems, leveraging deep RF circuit knowledge and expertise.
- Oversee the implementation of integrated circuit design solutions, including both CMOS ASICs and GaN MMICs - experience with both the transmit and receive side and experience with digital, analog and mixed-signal circuits.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to drive optimal integration of the RU system.
Qualities of a Successful Candidate
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Previous experience with CMOS, III-V MMICs (GaN highly preferred), and RF circuit integration of these.
- Previous experience with hardware radio systems for advanced digital radio signals, such as 5G, WiFi 7, or similar.
- Ability to manage multi-function teams across multiple geographies.
Preferred Qualities of a Successful Candidate
- Previous experience in 5G RU and system design with a proven track record of building sellable telecom equipment.

Salary Range
Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $270,000 and $300,000 plus stock options and benefits.
