Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team at Clarivate! In this role, you will have an amazing opportunity to work on various Clarivate IP products and services which could include automation, performance, manual and security aspects of testing. We would love to speak with you if you have strong Automation testing experience and skills in Playwright, Selenium, Java and JavaScript.

About you – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related technical degree or equivalent relevant work experience

• 1+ years of experience in software automation, manual testing and test frameworks

• 1+ year of experience coding using Java

• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

It would be great if you also had…

• Strong coding & debugging skills in Playwright, Selenium binding with Java

• Experience in version control system Git or bitbucket

• Understanding of test automation frameworks & assisting/reviewing script creation

• Master’s degree in a related tech field

• Familiarity of testing pyramid, understanding of functional and non-functional aspects of testing

• Experience with Agile & Kanban development methodologies

• Familiarity of working with test and defect management tools like JIRA and confluence

• Experience working with SQL queries

• Familiarity of working with API testing tools like postman, rest assured

What will you be doing in this role?

• Automation testing in Playwright, Selenium, Java and JavaScript

• This is hands on role where you will be conducting both automation & manual testing

• Customizing the automation framework based on requirements

• Be prepared to evaluate, learn and use new tools 

• Work with team members in a supportive way which encourages team building and confidence with individual members 

• Work accurately and sometimes under pressure on delivering as per the expectations 

• Prioritizing individual & team’s workload

• May have to support large monthly or quarterly releases on evenings or weekends

About the Team

The QA team consists of around 75 people and is globally distributed across the world. We have a great skillset in Test Automation using Playwright, Selenium with Java and Python, Performance Engineering using JMeter, API Testing, Security Testing, Devops, BrowserStack, Cypress, Docker, AWS/Azure, PACT and many other latest technologies.

Hours of Work

• Full-time permanent position primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed

• May require after hours work to support monthly or quarterly product releases on evenings or weekends for 1-3 hours at a time

• Hybrid position working 2-3 days/week in one of our Clarivate offices

• Must live within a commutable distance to one of our US office locations: Ann Arbor, MI; Alexandria, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Tempe, AZ; Kansas City, MO/KS.
