About the role…
Are you someone who enjoys working to maximize partnership opportunities from an existing book of business and discovering new partnerships? Are you constantly looking for ways to create more value for your company and its partners? We’re looking for a self motivated, sales oriented, creative, analytical, and organized Business Development Manager to join the team!
The Business Development team is responsible for establishing and growing revenue-generating partnerships at PgPro, our newest product. We are creative and data-driven in figuring out ways to grow the B2B side of Policygenius; currently employing referral relationships, affiliates, ABM strategies, content marketing, and more integrated digital solutions for our partners. We look for win-win opportunities that benefit both us and our partners. This role reports to the Senior Director of Business Development.
Base salary for a successful applicant in this role is expected to be $74,200 to $1,675 per year. This role is also eligible for monthly performance incentives. Employees at Policygenius can also expect generous benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as location, experience and expertise.
Individuals who reside in Alaska, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, and Rhode Island are not eligible for this remote role.
In this role, you will…
- Own prospecting and onboarding for your geography across partner types, including by making regular in-person visits to key potential partners to build relationships and pipeline
- Manage the day-to-day inbound lead flow and outbound communication with potential partners for our B2B vertical
- Manage launches and drive adoption in coordination with Partner Success and Marketing for partners you sign on
- Expand existing accounts as partners get up and running and see success
- Work with the marketing team to ensure demand generation programs are properly supporting business development in your territory
- Track and report on progress through Salesforce, while routinely meeting or exceeding goals
- Support onboarding and activation of national key accounts in your region as required
We’d love to hear from you if…
- You have 5+ years of business development or account management experience; bachelor’s degree preferred
- You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with others to gain buy-in and achieve business results
- You have a passion for engagement and exceptional attention to detail
- You’re excited to own a territory and hit the road to meet current and future partners in person
- You have demonstrated a proven track record of meeting quota, deadlines and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple teams
- You are self motivated and looking to grow with an established late stage startup company focused on a new vertical
- You reside in the United States, specifically in the West (WA, OR, MT, WY, ID, CO, UT, NV, NM, AZ, CA, AK, HI, ND, SD, NE, MN, WI
