Position
We are seeking a highly accomplished and motivated Principal Scientist, Platform Biology, to lead and contribute to transformative projects that leverage the convergence of biology and technology. In this pivotal role, you will provide scientific leadership, guide cross-functional collaborations, and drive the development of innovative solutions. As a Principal Scientist, you will play a central role in shaping research strategies and making significant contributions to the advancement of our mission.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the conception, design, and execution of complex experiments that harness the synergy between biology and technology.
- Apply advanced scientific methodologies, computational tools, and analytical techniques to interpret intricate experimental data, extracting meaningful insights to drive project objectives.
- Develop and optimize sophisticated experimental protocols, assays, and methodologies to push the boundaries of research capabilities.
- Provide scientific leadership by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior researchers, and fostering an innovative scientific environment.
- Stay at the forefront of scientific breakthroughs and industry trends, integrating pertinent knowledge into research strategies.
- Prepare thorough and precise documentation of research findings, contributing to internal reports, presentations, and potential intellectual property.
Qualifications
- Postdoc fellowship plus 7 years of experience or a PhD plus 10 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 18 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus 20 years of relevant experience in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a closely related field, with a distinguished track record of impactful research.
- Extensive experience in conceiving, leading, and executing complex experiments at the interface of biology and technology.
- Proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques, computational tools, and technologies relevant to cutting-edge biological research.
- Exceptional analytical skills, enabling the interpretation and communication of intricate scientific insights effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills, facilitating clear conveyance of complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven leadership capabilities, demonstrated through effective leadership and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive, adaptable, and responsive to evolving research priorities and challenges.

The expected salary range for this role is $165,000 to $180,500 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
