Requirements
  • Enrollment in a degree-granting program.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations to support the SEI's overall mission, including locations within the SEI and Carnegie Mellon University community.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet inflexible deadlines, and deal with difficult individuals while maintaining composure.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with OCONUS travel briefings.
  • Work with suspicious contact reports through analytical processes.
  • Assist with documentation.
  • Gain exposure to all aspects of industrial security as it relates to protecting national security.
  • Monitor SEI OCONUS activities and conferences and provide up-to-date briefings.
  • Review and analyze suspicious contact reports submitted to the Security team.
  • Assist with Security front-office tasks.
  • Assist the Security team with inspection-readiness tasks.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional coursework, seminars, workshops, or similar training in national security or homeland security-related disciplines.
