Requirements
  • Education: Current undergraduate University of Virginia student. Must be eligible for federal work-study.
  • Must be eligible for a Federal Work Study award that can be applied to this role.
  • Must be willing to work mornings/nights/weekend shifts as required.
  • Must be able to perform moderately heavy physical duties (i.e., lifting and setting up equipment up to 30 lbs.).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
  • Gain a deep familiarity with the Student Engagement platform Hoo’s Involved and its various features for student organizations.
  • Facilitate training sessions for CIOs and other organizations. Included but not limited to the CIO Summit, CIO Renewal Training, Table Talk Tuesdays and CIO Leadership Academy.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including managing the Student Engagement email, CIO renewal process, processing supplier numbers and bank fee waiver letters, Hoos Involved support and trouble shooting.
  • Aid SE staff with special projects and tasks, as assigned.
  • Attend weekly meetings – individual and team – with SE professional staff.
  • Work a minimum of 5 office hours in the SE office per week.
  • Attend all training and planning sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
