Maintain a system of controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity and timeliness of accurate financial reporting

HqO is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to work in our Boston office. This hands-on role will collaborate across all departments of HqO and will have significant learning & advancement opportunities within the department. Day to day responsibilities may include revenue related activities, general ledger maintenance, monthly reconciliations, audit and tax related activities, and other special projects as needed. 

Responsibilities

• Contract compliance reviews in Salesforce

• Assessment of contracts for variance from standard rev rec under ASC-606

• Creating sales orders in Netsuite from contracts

• Issuing customer invoices

• Monthly account variance analysis, deferred revenue reconciliations

• Preparing journal entries related to month end close (accruals, revenue recognition, etc)

• Assisting with work related to annual audits

• Assist in report preparation and account research for internal/external stakeholders

• Work with senior managers to create process improvements and system upgrades

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a related role

• NetSuite experience required

• Energetic team player who is hungry to learn and excel at their role

• You have impeccable attention to detail and strong problem solving skills

• You are able to check your own work before submitting for review

• You are capable of meeting critical deadlines in a fast paced environment

• You have strong Excel skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
