Requirements
  • A high school diploma, GED, or education equivalency for licensing is required.
  • Three years of experience as a pharmacy technician are required.
  • For Missouri work locations, certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or ExCPT/CPhT through the National Healthcareer Association is required, along with Missouri pharmacy technician registration or completion of the Missouri registration and fingerprint process at the time of hire.
  • For Illinois work locations, certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or ExCPT/CPhT through the National Healthcareer Association is required, along with Illinois pharmacy technician registration or completion of the Illinois registration application process at the time of hire.
  • For Oklahoma work locations, certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or ExCPT/CPhT through the National Healthcareer Association is required, along with Oklahoma pharmacy technician registration.

  • The role requires frequent keyboard use and data entry, along with the ability to perform the stated lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, reaching, and other physical activities.
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily services and functions of the specialized role within the assigned ministry, resolve issues in the specialized area, and ensure documents and records are accurate and completed timely.
  • Serve as a resource in the specialized area for ministry team members, solve complex problems, and ensure issues are escalated and closed as needed.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards; collaborate with department leadership to adopt best practices; and coach team members when practice standards are not upheld.
  • Conduct reviews and audits of the specialized area, report and monitor key performance indicators, identify quality improvement opportunities, lead implementation of operational changes and advancements, and participate in ministry work teams, committees, and councils.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop and coordinate team member education, training, orientation, and competency, and train other team members in the specialized area.
  • Serve as the ministry liaison to regional pharmacy teams in the specialty area and collaborate with leadership to communicate changes in the specialty area.
  • Provide customer service to patients, staff, and ancillary departments while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
