Requirements
  • 5- 8 years experience in sales, business development with an international focus, or a similar role
  • Proven track record in developing new sales and accounts
  • Experience in the telematics industry, fleet management or related field
  • Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills, particularly cross-culturally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training
  • Proficient project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion
  • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
Responsibilities
  • Prospect, research, identify and hunt new business opportunities for large international fleet customers
  • Identify and spearhead expansion of current customers' solutions into new markets through collaboration with regional and local Geotab teams
  • Assist teams with creating, implementing, project management and execution on the strategic business plan for growth and development of opportunities for new business globally
  • Function as the company subject matter expert (SME) to build, qualify and establish cooperative opportunities for Geotab's sales channels to execute against with our partners for closing of business
  • Deploy business development goals and objectives pertaining to your assigned market including the preparation of sales presentations, assist with global advisory meetings, attend global fleet conferences and other promotional, sales and marketing initiatives related to global business development and growth
  • Monitor and update business development activity within associated tools and maintain a pipeline of activity
  • Use knowledge of local and international markets and competitors to assist in identifying and developing Geotab's unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Provide expert direction and guidance as SME to clients, team members and partners; develop a deep knowledge base of the industry and maintain top-of-mind awareness of trends and shifts, stay informed on the current competitive landscape in the category including leaders and startups, and be available to Partner Account Managers (PAMs) & Partners to educate and share knowledge as SME
