  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10-15 years of hands-on hardware development experience
  • Minimum 10 years of involvement in FPGA design
  • Experience producing design and verification documentation (specs, test reports, etc.)
  • Experience with Xilinx and Intel SoC FPGAs and tool chains
  • Managing Build and Simulation environments using scripting languages such as TCL and Python
  • Design experience managing multiple clock domains
  • Ability to use constraint management, RTL optimization techniques, and floor planning to achieve timing closure
  • High Speed interfaces, serial communications
  • Experience with the integration of 3rd party IP blocks
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Driving issues to closure
Responsibilities
  • Translation of customer requirements into proposed FPGA architectures including chipset selection
  • Collaboration with sales team to consult with customers to discuss capabilities and customer needs
  • Generation of technical proposals and effort estimates
  • Requirements decomposition of new products into lower-level design blocks
  • Formal requirements documentation and traceability
  • Contribute to systems studies on a variety of products including processor boards, networking products and industrial products
  • May act as the lead technical engineer for project implementation in a multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to continuous improvements of products, tools, and processes
  • Mentor/coach more junior members within the systems or broader hardware development teams
