Requirements
  • At least 1 year of professional software testing and functional testing experience is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, TypeScript, or VBScript, for test automation scripting and framework creation or maintenance is required.
  • Experience with at least one automation tool, such as Selenium, Playwright, or Unified Functional Testing, using testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Page Object Model, or Hybrid is required.
  • Experience with at least one test management tool, such as ALM, TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, or Jira, is required.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance best practices, workflows, and methodologies, including Agile, Continuous Testing, and Shift-Left Testing, is required.
  • Knowledge of equity, bond, and fixed-income investments is required.
  • Knowledge of securities or financial markets is required.
  • SQL query-writing skills are required.
  • Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills, with meticulous attention to test-design detail, are required.
  • The candidate must be able to blend strategic quality objectives with tactical testing execution.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related area of study is required.
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, and Ribbon Utilization, are required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure externally provided regulatory reporting meets satisfactory requirements before delivery.
  • Respond quickly, accurately, and thoroughly to internal and external inquiries.
  • Submit defects in code updates and retest and verify the defects once they are fixed.
  • Work closely with Software Development Engineers to resolve defects.
  • Apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product managers to define test execution and coverage.
  • Understand and explain the general workflow, tools, and Clearwater value proposition.
  • Complete Jira cases with minimal assistance after two months and independently after six months.
  • Acknowledge inquiries within one hour and provide quick, accurate, and thorough responses to inquiries and task requests.
  • Develop and maintain reliable test suites for functional, regression, integration, smoke, canary, application programming interface, and performance scenarios.
  • Engineer tools to simulate market events and validate complex financial workflows.
  • Investigate test failures, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure regression prevention.
  • Advocate for and implement quality assurance best practices across the software development lifecycle.
  • Continually evolve functional test scenarios to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Follow established procedures and require instruction only for new issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • A background in FinTech, banking, financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated, mission-critical domains is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Python or JavaScript is desirable.
  • Knowledge or experience building application programming interface, integration, and end-to-end automated tests is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SQL for test-data design and validation is desirable.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes is desirable.
  • Knowledge of automation build tools such as Gradle or Maven is desirable.
