Requirements
  • Psychological Assistant: doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Psychological Assistant: demonstrated experience and training in generalist counseling.
  • Psychological Assistant: licensure as a psychologist in Nevada within 14 months from the date of hire for postdoctoral candidates and 24 months from the date of hire for new doctoral graduates.
  • Staff Psychologist: doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Staff Psychologist: demonstrated experience and training in generalist counseling.
  • Staff Psychologist: licensure for independent practice as a psychologist and Nevada licensure for independent practice prior to the start of employment.
  • Senior Staff Psychologist: doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Senior Staff Psychologist: demonstrated experience and training in generalist counseling.
  • Senior Staff Psychologist: licensure for independent practice as a psychologist and Nevada licensure for independent practice prior to the start of employment.
  • Senior Staff Psychologist: five years of licensed related clinical work experience as a psychologist.
Responsibilities
  • Time-efficient individual, couples, and group therapy.
  • Crisis assessment and intervention.
  • Consultation and outreach programming to the university community.
  • Supervision of doctoral interns and graduate trainees.
  • Participation on divisional and university committees.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in a university counseling center preferred.
  • Candidates from an American Psychological Association-accredited graduate program preferred.
  • Candidates from an American Psychological Association-accredited internship program preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills; experience in supervision and training; proficiency in brief therapy and group counseling; ability to work collaboratively; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
