  • A high school diploma or equivalent education.
Responsibilities
  • Assist PGA TOUR players, members, and guests with their golfing needs, ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs as smoothly and enjoyably as possible.
  • Greet and welcome members and guests.
  • At opening, assist in pulling all golf cars from the golf car facility to the bag staging area.
  • Remove golf bags from members' and guests' cars and load them onto a golf cart; where applicable, drive the golf car to the staging area.
  • Give members and guests miscellaneous information that may help them play the course, such as explaining that yardage markers on sprinkler heads are measured to the middle of the green.
  • Provide members and guests with thoroughly cleaned and properly operating cars stocked with towels, scorecards, pencils, and divot repair material; drive dirty golf cars to the car-washing area, wash and wipe down the cars, and restock them.
  • At closing, drive golf cars into the golf car facility and plug them into the battery charger.
  • Ensure that the Golf Car Facility is always clean and orderly.
  • Perform periodic car maintenance and minor special repairs, and update car service records.
  • Service the practice facility by driving the picker and mechanically picking up golf balls; set up the practice facility for play; replenish practice-facility balls; patrol the practice tee and pick up trash and practice-golf-ball bags; rotate the practice-facility area according to the tee maintenance program; collect, clean, and bag balls at the end of play; and cull damaged balls.
  • Assist members and guests as they depart by ensuring that all golf clubs are cleaned and that a staff member carries and places the clubs in the member's or guest's vehicle.
  • Work closely with the Golf Shop staff to ensure that members and guests follow all club rules, including the dress code and beverage policy.
  • Ensure that no member or guest carries clubs to or from the practice facility or in the parking lot or clubhouse areas.
  • Perform special projects and other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in customer service, preferably in a country club or equivalent.
