Michelin unveils MICHELIN BIBTRACK agricultural tracks at Farm Progress. New name brings former Camso agricultural tracks into Michelin's growing agricultural portfolio beginning September 2026. September 01, 2026 14:00 ET | Source: MICHELIN GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Michelin is bringing Camso agricultural track portfolio under the Michelin brand with the introduction of MICHELIN BIBTRACK, announced today at Farm Progress. Starting in September 2026, agricultural tracks previously sold under the Camso brand will transition to the MICHELIN BIBTRACK name. The move brings Michelin's agricultural tracks together with its established agricultural portfolio, creating a more unified brand experience for farmers, equipment manufacturers and agricultural customers. Importantly, rebranding does not change the products themselves. At this time, there will be no changes to product design, performance or manufacturing processes as a result of the transition. "For our customers, the key takeaway is simple: the products they know and trust will continue to deliver the same quality, durability and performance they expect, while making it easier for customers to navigate Michelin's growing range of agricultural solutions. said Daphne Risco, Associate Brand Manager, Agriculture, and Michelin North America. "With MICHELIN BIBTRACK and our Michelin-branded systems, we're building on our agricultural heritage while continuing to focus on the performance, productivity and soil-conscious solutions that modern farming demands." A new name rooted in Michelin's agricultural heritage, the MICHELIN BIBTRACK name builds on Michelin's decades-long history in agriculture. The "BIB" designation connects the agricultural track portfolio to some of Michelin's best-known agricultural product families, including AGRIBIB, AXIOBIB, YIELDBIB and EVOBIB. The move is part of Michelin's long-term vision for its agricultural track and system business and is intended to make its growing portfolio easier for customers to understand and navigate. Agricultural tracks and systems are an important part of Michelin's off-road strategy, helping address some of the priorities facing modern farming operations, including: * Productivity in demanding field conditions * Traction to help equipment perform effectively * Load distribution across the soil * Reduced soil compaction * Sustained performance and durability Starting in September 2026: * Agricultural tracks previously sold under the Camso brand will be branded MICHELIN BIBTRACK. * CTS and TTS agricultural systems will adopt the Michelin brand while retaining their existing product names. * The transition will not change the products, their performance or manufacturing processes at this time. * Customers can continue to expect the same focus on quality, durability and performance. Michelin will also present its broader approach to sustainability, including initiatives to support the circular management of tyres at end of life. These capabilities will be demonstrated through Michelin's partnership with Anglo American Platinum at the Mogalakwena mine in Limpopo. The collaboration brings together new tyre innovations, data-driven management and dedicated support services to improve reliability and asset utilisation. The results to date reflect how an integrated approach can deliver both productivity gains and a reduced environmental footprint in a large open-pit operation. Michelin will further highlight its integrated portfolio showcasing tyre innovations for surface mining focused on durability and fuel efficiency, solutions for underground mining engineered for safety and reliability in demanding conditions, and applications for construction and material handling. All will be supported by smart technologies designed to deliver safer and more efficient tyre performance to help operations reduce downtime and operating costs. "At Michelin, we see mining through the lens of People, Planet and Profit. This means putting people first, reducing impact on the planet, and driving profit through efficiency. Our ambition is to move beyond the tyre as a commodity and provide integrated solutions that make operations safer, more productive and more sustainable across Africa," says Amaury Vadon MD and VP for Michelin SSA.
Michelin confirmed as exclusive tire supplier for the Hypercar category of the FIA WEC through 2032. WEBWIRE - Tuesday, August 25, 2026 * Following a tender process organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), Michelin has been selected to remain the exclusive tire supplier for the Hypercar category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) through the end of the 2032 season. * This decision by the governing bodies extends Michelin's current commitment by three seasons and confirms the confidence placed in its technological expertise and ability to innovate at the highest level of endurance racing. * Michelin will continue to use the FIA WEC to develop increasingly high-performing and sustainable technologies, benefiting both manufacturers competing on the racetrack and motorists around the world. Michelin is pleased to announce that the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) have selected the company as the exclusive tire supplier for the Hypercar category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) through the end of the 2032 season. The decision, made following a tender process launched by the governing bodies, extends Michelin's current contract, which was due to run through 2029, by three years. Continuously present at the highest level of endurance racing since 1998 and having contributed to the revival of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2012, Michelin currently supplies every manufacturer competing in the Hypercar category. In a championship that brings together some of the world's leading automotive brands, tires play a crucial role in performance, race strategy, safety and environmental impact. The FIA WEC serves as a powerful innovation accelerator for Michelin. The exceptional demands placed on tires - multiple stints, extremely high loads, significant variations in weather conditions, a wide variety of race tracks and the constant pursuit of performance - help accelerate the development of technologies that can subsequently be applied to tires for production vehicles. For several years, Michelin has also used endurance racing as a laboratory for more sustainable mobility. The new 2026 MICHELIN Pilot Sport Endurance range, currently used in both the FIA WEC and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, incorporates 50% renewable and recycled materials in its slick tires. This major step forward illustrates motorsport's ability to foster the development of tangible solutions for mobility that makes more responsible use of resources, without compromising performance or any aspect of the tire's life cycle. The extension of this partnership will provide Michelin with an ideal platform to continue driving this innovation alongside the FIA, the ACO and all manufacturers competing in the Hypercar category.
