Requirements
  • Must hold the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and either Series 63 and 65 or Series 66 licenses.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as an external wholesaler selling mutual funds, separately managed accounts, exchange-traded funds, or variable annuities, or 3 years of experience as a top internal wholesaler with existing relationships in the assigned territory.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations.
  • Must be self-driven and resourceful, able to manage a territory budget and operate autonomously.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a deep understanding of financial markets, investment products, and the broker-dealer landscape.
Responsibilities
  • Represent Potomac and distribute all Potomac products and services within the assigned territory.
  • Travel within the territory to conduct one-to-one and group face-to-face meetings and presentations.
  • Partner with an internal wholesaler to develop a business plan and manage the territory to meet and exceed regional sales goals and objectives.
  • Identify advisor needs through a consultative sales process and provide tailored investment solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners, including marketing, senior leaders, and field leaders.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities according to company policies, including travel and expenses, customer relationship management updates, calendars and schedules, conference call participation, email retention, continuing education, and other requirements.
  • Drive sales by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing advisors.
  • Influence advisor choices within a consultative sales process.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments.
  • Comply with legal and compliance regulations at all times.
