Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in rendering or engine engineering, including shipping rendering systems for AAA, film/VFX, XR, or simulation.
  • Solid experience with modern C++ and shader authoring and debugging using HLSL, MSL, or GLSL.
  • Production experience with at least one of Metal, DirectX 12, Vulkan, or GNM/GNMX, with the ability to learn additional APIs.
  • Working knowledge of rasterization, compute, and hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
  • Familiarity with physically based rendering, global illumination, ambient occlusion, volumetrics, and post-processing techniques including anti-aliasing, high dynamic range, tone mapping, and motion blur.
  • Ability to work in unfamiliar codebases and make sound technical decisions.
  • Applied 3D mathematics and technical writing skills.
Responsibilities
  • Turn the art team's vision into shippable, scalable rendering technology.
  • Build and improve high-performance rendering features across PC, console, and Mac.
  • Profile and resolve GPU and CPU bottlenecks, including occupancy, tile memory pressure, indirect dispatch overhead, and bandwidth.
  • Work with GPU-driven culling, indirect command buffers, and bindless architectures.
  • Contribute to GPU memory management using modern API features and memory heaps.
  • Extend major engines, including Unreal Engine source, and custom C++ architectures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Practical experience with mesh shading pipelines using DirectX 12, Vulkan, or Metal.
  • Familiarity with console hardware variations and Apple Silicon unified memory architectures.
  • Exposure to ray tracing or compute-driven rendering.
  • Unreal Engine source modifications.
