Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in human service related field and two years’ paid human service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of personal vehicle for work.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and teach vocational skills while coaching and motivate individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Facilitate groups to assist individuals in career exploration, college planning, locating employment and integrating career objectives with their current mental health and substance recovery programs.
  • Serve as the liaison between the individual and coordinated services such as assisted volunteer opportunities, visiting employer sites and touring community skills training and education programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Licensure or certification in human services
  • Qualified Mental Health Staff as defined by OMH Residential regulations required for work with OMH licensed programs.

East House provides housing and recovery support services for adults with mental health and substance use issues.
