What believers are saying

  • South Molton London opened in May 2026, signaling fresh UK demand.
  • Madrid's Serrano flagship targets affluent tourists and locals in Europe's strongest luxury corridor.
  • The brand's online and international push aligns with Apax and Bpifrance backing.

What critics are saying

  • France still generates most revenue, leaving growth exposed to domestic spending and tourism shocks.
  • Cashmere is crowded; Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinelli, and fast-fashion copycats squeeze margins.
  • If cashmere demand softens, Bompard becomes a niche retail label with no pricing power.

What makes Eric Bompard unique

  • Eric Bompard owns premium French cashmere heritage, anchored in Paris since 1986.
  • 2025 Madrid, Düsseldorf, and London openings prove selective luxury retail expansion.
  • Men's concessions at Bon Marché, Printemps, and Galeries Lafayette widen reach without discounting.
