Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated success managing IT operations and support services.
  • Vendor Management – contracts, renewals, budgets, invoice AP.
  • Sourcing Management– on-site staff, offshore managed Service experience.
  • Technical proficiency with data center solutions: Network: CCNA, Core, Firewall, WLC, Switches, Routers, SDN, etc.; Servers: Physical and virtual machines (e.g., VMware, Nutanix); Storage: SAN / NAS, NetApp; Backup: Nimble, NetBackup, Cohesity, Rubrik; Power: UPS, PDU, CRAC; Identity & Access Management – DC, AD, LDAP, SAML, Entra ID.
  • Windows Fundamental certificate.
  • Public Cloud Integration: Connecting with AWS or Azure.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure. Maintain high availability without impact to internal/external customers and maintain service level agreements.
  • Manage network physical and virtual infrastructure that enables network connectivity, communication, operations, and management of an enterprise network, as well as the availability of on-site user experience.
  • Manage hybrid teams of 24x7 engineering technicians. Prioritize and assign tasks, manage projects, coach, and create documentation. Guide, train, and educate staff on best practices related to all service owner issues.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures.
  • Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of support teams, and drive them from conception to completion.
  • Coordinates with a multitude of third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to contracted commitments, renewals and pricing.
  • Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls and on-site weekend deployments.
  • Act as an escalation point for all facilities-IT related issues, including coordinating routine maintenance and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS / PDU, computer room air handlers, etc.
Desired Qualifications
  • AWS Networking including – VPC, ALB, Route 53.
  • AWS Practitioner certificate.
  • Azure Fundamentals certificate.
  • ITIL v4 (Preferred).
  • PMP (Preferred)
