Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 3 years of relevant experience in project management, software or policy administration, or business analytics.
  • Three to five years of experience managing and developing presentations and communication plans.
  • Three to five years of experience working as a liaison between business units, vendors, and information technology in the development of software programs.
  • Three to five years of demonstrated knowledge, leadership agility, and a proven track record of achieving sustainable results in project management, systems implementation, and process documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory program management, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Experience in a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to respond to company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to customers.
  • Willingness to travel within the company service territory as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of short-, mid-, and long-term plans for Compliance Management Operations, focusing on engagement and process implementation with regulated businesses.
  • Support governance and assurance activities to ensure regulated businesses effectively manage compliance through compliance framework elements and continuous process improvements.
  • Ensure organizations promote a culture of integrity, self-manage regulatory compliance, identify and mitigate risk, document compliance, and tabulate performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement governance strategies that ensure organizational compliance with regulatory requirements by assessing regulatory risks and advising business units on approaches to meet regulatory objectives.
  • Evaluate complex data to identify trends and solutions, using data modeling and process improvement tools, SQL, Excel, and governance, risk, and compliance systems.
  • Collaborate with company groups responsible for compliance to incorporate or manage changes that promote best practices and compliance in enterprise solutions.
  • Provide administrative oversight and coordinate activities within the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission program to meet goals and objectives.
  • Manage Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and corporate policies to ensure accurate and timely administration.
  • Support timely reporting and communication of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission-related matters to the board and senior leadership.
  • Participate in compliance committees, procedure development committees, and training reviews.
  • Ensure business units implement consistent practices using compliance data management tools.
  • Work with the Technology section to develop and implement processes that ensure consistent documentation practices.
  • Collaborate with legal, operations, and quality assurance departments to ensure company operations comply with regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and issue internal company reports measuring operating-organization compliance performance and provide feedback to business units on areas for improvement.
  • Assist with department workforce development and training activities, including developing training programs with Learning Center staff, Engineering, and operating organizations.
  • Contribute to key performance indicators that define and measure progress toward organizational goals.
  • Direct, mentor, and teach lower-band specialists within the Compliance Group, including assigning and reviewing work and collaborating on new strategies, methods, and compliance programs.
  • Perform other tasks and assignments as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience within the utility industry; experience in pharmaceuticals, finance, healthcare, or other industries will also be considered.
  • Two years of experience using data analytics and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SAS, or Qlik.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, auditing, governance, or quality assurance.
  • Two years of experience using or implementing governance, risk, and compliance tools such as RSA Archer.
  • Project Management Professional certification upon hire.
  • Analytics certification upon hire.
