Responsibilities
  • Ensure a best-in-class customer experience by implementing, coaching, and developing branch teammates on service excellence standards.
  • Implement the Understanding You Customer Engagement model through coaching, role modeling, and developing branch teammates.
  • Achieve branch results in deposit growth, loan growth through referrals, branch income, noninterest expense management, and sales of bank products and services.
  • Maximize sales opportunities by developing new business, maintaining existing relationships, conducting business development calls, and representing the bank at community and customer events.
  • Hold individuals and the team accountable for sales, service, and operations objectives, including individual loan growth goals when applicable.
  • Create a daily individual and branch or team-level focus on deepening customer relationships, executing service standards, and retaining customers.
  • Develop small business and consumer loans when applicable, including managing customers through origination to closing, and manage an individual business portfolio when applicable.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for branch operational functions and procedures, including retail processes, audit matters, and retail documentation, while engaging with Retail Branch Administrators.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management, including managing operational losses, controllable losses, and controllable branch expenses.
  • Manage the branch team, including hiring, scheduling, coaching, discipline, performance development or improvement, and identifying and scheduling learning and development opportunities.
  • Serve as a backup for internal customer needs as branch staffing requires.
  • Supervise individuals who supervise other employees or processes and provide oversight for multiple branches when applicable.
  • Manage branch facilities, including maintenance needs, security, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • College education is preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of business development experience is preferred.
  • If the branch has a lending growth goal in excess of $500,000, a minimum of 3 years of direct lending experience, including small business and consumer lending products, or equivalent experience working in a credit-related function is preferred.
