Requirements
- You need to be focused and a proven executor with a mind for high-level strategy, prioritization, and also be obsessed about your attention to detail in execution
- Experience working across the entire product lifecycle from user research, to product design, development, launch and measurement of success
- You will need to have a strong "operations" process and enjoy creating structure, standardization and optimize for scale. You enjoy the “growing up” phase of startups preparing for scale
- You thrive in ambiguity- and have a knack for providing clarity and direction
- You've honed your interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, influence and succinctly communicate the vision of the R&D team and motivate internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Design Thinking: Leverage different forms of research and customer feedback to understand and represent user needs and ideate on creative solutions, spanning new product opportunities to scaling and strengthening established features and products
- Executional Excellence: Accountable for quarterly roadmap prioritization. Partnering with Engineering, Data Science, and customer-facing teams to understand complementary or competing needs, you balance user, business, and technical needs to deliver high-quality and high-impact products from conception to release and iteration
- Operations-oriented: You'll establish scalable cross-functional processes for product development projects. You'll bring clarity from high level goals and strategies down to ensuring the appropriate level of details on edge cases. You're a systems-thinker for the product features you spec to the product development workflow you support
- Results Driven: Formulate hypotheses, set goals, track results, and follow up on anomalies or trends, utilizing A/B testing when applicable to validate ideas
- Adaptable: You thrive in an environment where things change rapidly and are willing to adapt in order to meet the needs of our customers and business, while managing team expectations with grace
- Collaborative: You'll work with the Head of R&D on the product direction and roadmap, and cross-functionally across various R&D teams and client-facing teams (Customer Experience, Sales, Marketing, Ops), to gather stakeholder input and communicate product development activities
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in education- either designing products for or working in schools
- Experience working with GTM teams to announce, release, and support launches from start to finish
- Strong design intuition or design experience, comfortable with prototyping features, flows, and ideas
