Network Engineer

We are looking for a Network Engineer with experience working in a robust, complex environment to join our growing team. You will collaborate with engineers around the world to design, implement, and maintain the backbone infrastructure supporting our global trading operations. This role is pivotal in making sure that our network continues to deliver the latency, availability, and bandwidth required to maintain our competitive edge.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize our backbone network infrastructure, ensuring high-speed data transmission and scalability
• Deploy and configure high-performance hardware to reduce congestion and maintain network availability across global trading platforms
• Develop and implement routing paths between data centers, trading venues, and counterparties
• Proactively detect and resolve network issues using advanced monitoring tools, minimizing impact on trading operations
• Regularly evaluate and scale network capacity to align with our growth
• Work closely with trading, development, and infrastructure teams to integrate changes seamlessly into our global trading systems
• Collaborate with global teams to maintain comprehensive documentation and develop network policies

Your Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on backbone infrastructure
• Deep understanding of BGP, multicast, traffic engineering, and QoS
• Expertise in configuring and managing switches and other network devices
• Advanced knowledge of optical networking tools and concepts (e.g., DWDM, OTDR)
• Knowledge of latency optimization techniques, such as route optimization and WAN acceleration
• Skilled in troubleshooting network issues, including LAN/WAN problems, unicast/multicast routing, congestion elimination, and packet analysis
• Extensive experience with scripting for network automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to rapidly diagnose and resolve complex network issues
• Superior communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams
• Comfortable with on-call rotation during core trading hours and critical periods
