Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong Accounts Payable experience and working knowledge of Accounts Payable systems (Oracle experience preferred)
  • Prior supervisory or team-lead experience
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Responsibilities
  • Serve as administrator for the Accounts Payable system, maintaining user access, general ledger, and travel/expense policy settings
  • Monitor AP workflows to ensure vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time
  • Assist in the development and timely preparation of financial reports, including metrics and key performance indicators
  • Oversee the timely month-end close for Accounts Payable
  • Review employee expense reports and enforce compliance with company policies
  • Review and approve non-purchase-order Accounts Payable invoices
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable team, acting as the primary resource for questions and issue resolution, while fostering professional growth, supporting individual goals, and drafting annual performance assessments
  • Provide feedback to management based on internal and external customer input, recommending process improvements and efficiencies
  • Prepare required tax-related reports and forms
  • Oversee Canadian Accounts Payable functions and liaise with the United Kingdom Accounts Payable team to support issue and dispute resolution
  • Provide coverage for payment processing during the Accounts Payable Manager’s absence
