Requirements
- BA in social work, international studies, public health, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years working with refugees or immigrants preferred
- Bilingual language competency preferred (Swahili, Kirundi, French, Burmese, Chin, Karen, or Arabic)
- Cross cultural competency required

Responsibilities
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Complete in-take and assessment documentation for clients who need assistance with public benefits access
- Complete any public benefit and resource applications, follow up with partner organizations, and advocate for client needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with IDHS staff
- Empower clients to manage their IDHS cases through IDHS community workshops
- Maintain case notes and database reporting in a timely manner
- Provide information and referrals to internal and external resources
- Participate in outreach to ensure IFRP services are known throughout the community
- Coordinate and complete WIC applications, shopping, and case management for pregnant people and moms of young children
- Serve as an interpreter or translator when necessary
- Attend department and all-staff meetings regularly
- Other duties as assigned
