We are actively recruiting for a Manager of Medicare Advantage Performance. The Manager of Medicare Advantage Performance will play a critical role in driving strategy, operations, and performance in Aledade’s multiple Medicare Advantage contracts across multiple payers and markets. She or he will be at the intersection of all key activities: guiding our field teams with MA (often multiple) contracts, work with payer partners, develop and execute on strategic plans, and provide input for further strengthening Aledade technology for success. The Manager of Medicare Advantage Performance must be able to establish strong, collaborative relationships with payer partners to reach mutually defined quality and cost goals, have experience in achieving 4.5+ STAR rating, and working knowledge of key Medicare Advantage programs such as Annual Wellness Visits, diagnosis submission, and care coordination strategies. This role requires demonstrated excellence in creating “buy-in” with internal and external stakeholders to promote and affect change in the way healthcare is delivered. We are looking for individuals who genuinely believe that Aledade’s model of physician-led ACO’s can improve quality and lower cost.
Your footprint & specific duties within role:
- Develop strategy and operational plan for Medicare Advantage contracts to drive successful outcomes across Aledade’s provider network, including achieving 4.5+ STARS rating and generating shared savings
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Medicare Advantage contract(s); able to translate contract terms into actionable approaches to achieve savings and 4.5+ STAR score working with Aledade field teams
- Conduct analyses to pinpoint greatest areas for quality and cost interventions
- Collaborate across Aledade teams including Clinical Innovation, Operational Excellence, and Product to advance Aledade’s strategy at the market level
- Develop tracking tools and metrics for monitoring progress for each contract and across the portfolio of contracts
- Synthesize performance status including key successes and challenges by contract and communicate to leadership and other stakeholders
- Manage payer partner relationship and ensure deliverables are met; develop presentations to facilitate effective Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meetings with payers
- Perform all other duties and special projects as requested by Aledade’s Provider Network leadership team.
- Develop, mentor, and lead Analyst(s)
What we value & position requirements:
- A Master’s degree or other advanced degrees in health services research, health policy, mathematics/statistics, information technology, or other relevant fields is preferred
- Deep understanding of the Medicare Advantage landscape; STARS program, and value-based care
- 5+ years of related experience working in the healthcare industry (i.e., health plan, provider groups, hospital, pharmaceutical manufacturer, government, pharmacy chain, management consulting) with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and performance and interfacing with internal or external stakeholders
- Relevant competencies include developing and maintaining customer relationships, analytical problem solving, project management, effective written and verbal communication, and strategic insight
- Must be results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to consistently meet deadlines and client expectations
- Periodic travel to assigned Aledade markets and team retreats is required (post pandemic).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on key goals.
- Thinks beyond their immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in D&I efforts, culture initiatives, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)
